Summer at the Montana Cabin Rentals in West Yellowstone – Mountain View Cabins Vacation Rentals
Summer in Montana is pretty darn hard to beat—warm days, cool nights, no humidity, and lots of sunshine. There are so many things to do at the cabin, and in the mountains surrounding us, that it’s impossible for us to list all the options. At the same time, we know that everyone has different interests.
Options include horse back riding, hiking, fly fishing in the blue ribbon Madison River that runs along our northern border.
Things to Bring
The mountains of Montana are still pretty wild, and the weather can be wild too. The state motto is “if you don’t like the weather, wait a minute.” It’s always a good idea to dress in layers no matter what time of year you visit. Although during most summers it doesn’t rain very often or for very long, bring rain gear and an extra pair of shoes. Sweaters and windbreakers are also a good idea-it can be in the 70’s or 80’s at the ranch, but ten or twenty degrees cooler on a mountain trail ride. Sunscreen is a good idea, especially at our 6,800 ft. above sea level altitude.
